How to use the Carnival EFL lesson
In the lesson, the students first talk a little about what they know about Carnival to warm up, then they compete an ISE style reading. They complete 15 questions, as in the ISE exam. There are 5 paragraph-matching questions, 5 true statements to choose, and then 5 sentences to complete.
Following this, there are some discussion questions about students’ own experiences of Carnival and the customs associated with it.
